In a corner of Romania, father Nicolae Tănase opened the door of his heart for those whom no one else wanted. With his hands and his soul, he built the Pro Vita Association — a shelter for abandoned children, for single mothers, for the forgotten elderly, for anyone looking for hope.

In these houses from Valea Plopului, Valea Screzii and Vălenii de Munte, hundreds of souls find a warm “home”, a family — not just a roof or a warm meal, but support, dignity, people who are close to them.

The association has offered support — over time — to more than 10,000 vulnerable people.In moments when life was at its most fragile, Pro Vita was a refuge and consolation, and father Tănase — the father, the mother, the protector of those wounded hearts.
